A little less then a year and a half ago my dad and I first started the excavation process, the third of many steps to building this house. First drawing and designing the house, and second, the legal steps and working with the city to make the plans a reality. We did every part of the house except the insulation, drywall, and the roof. My dad has built countless homes, large construction remodels, and I've built a few houses, and many construction projects throughout my highschool/college/after college time. Just next door is another house we built in 2011, although I left to CO for the Winter after the framing was done. That house is in the family, not too often you get to build a house and pick your neighbors.
From now on I am going to stick to building tiny homes, camper vans, and large open space warehouses.
